Don Camillo and Peppone, what the heck is the relation to a road trip?

That's quite simple. When I was a kid, there was one famous black and white movie, which was about a priest, Don Camillo and a communist mayor, Peppone,  who where constantly fighting each other. This movie was filmed in a small italian village called Brescello.

Without world wide web back in these days, it was almost impossible to  find the location of this little village. 

​

Decades later, the old movies were shown again on german TV. I immediately googled  "Brescello" and the idea was born to do a trip to Brescello, Maranello and Sant' Agata Bolognese to combine movie history with car history.
